Itinerary 3 days Marrakech Fes desert tour
Day 1: Errachidia – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga – Camel Ride
Begin your tour with pickup from Errachidia airport or your accommodation. Travel through the Ziz Valley, stopping to admire the palm groves and traditional villages before continuing through Erfoud towards Merzouga.
In the late afternoon, meet your camel caravan and ride into the Erg Chebbi dunes. Stop to enjoy the sunset and take photographs before continuing to your desert camp.
Enjoy dinner at the camp, followed by traditional drumming beneath the starry desert sky.
Overnight: Desert camp in Merzouga.
Day 2: Explore Merzouga – Khamlia – M’ifis Mines – Nomad Family
Wake early to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes, followed by breakfast at the camp. Today is dedicated to discovering the landscapes and local life around Merzouga.
Visit Khamlia village to listen to Gnawa music and learn about its cultural traditions. Continue towards the former mining area of M’ifis, with views across the surrounding desert.
Visit a nomadic family, subject to availability, for tea and a chance to learn about daily life in the Sahara. If seasonal water levels allow, stop at Merzouga Lake, where birds sometimes gather.
Return to Merzouga in the afternoon and enjoy time to relax at your hotel near the dunes.

Day 3: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Cedar Forest – Ifrane – Fes
After breakfast, leave the Sahara and travel north through Erfoud and the Ziz Valley. Enjoy scenic views as the landscape changes from desert plains to mountain valleys.
Continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains, with a lunch stop in Midelt. In the afternoon, visit the cedar forest near Azrou, where you may spot Barbary macaques in their natural habitat.
Stop in Ifrane, known for its alpine-style architecture and leafy surroundings, before continuing to Fes. Your tour ends with drop-off at your accommodation in the late afternoon or evening.
