Your journey begins with a  morning departure from Marrakech as you head west toward the Atlantic coast. Along the way, you’ll pass through small Berber villages and vast argan tree fields, where you may even see goats climbing the trees. There is an optional stop at a local women’s argan oil cooperative to learn about the traditional production process and its cosmetic and culinary uses.

After approximately three hours, you arrive in the charming coastal city of Essaouira, formerly known as Mogador. You begin by exploring the historic Essaouira Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its white-and-blue architecture, artisan shops, and relaxed atmosphere. Walk along the impressive Skala de la Ville, where cannons overlook the Atlantic Ocean and offer stunning coastal views.

You’ll have free time to enjoy a fresh seafood lunch at the harbor, stroll along the wide sandy beach, or explore the lively fishing port. Essaouira is also famous for its art galleries, handcrafted thuya wood products, and laid-back seaside vibe.

In the  afternoon, you depart Essaouira and return to Marrakech, arriving in the evening after a refreshing escape to Morocco’s beautiful Atlantic coast.
